We are looking for:
The Customer Engineers provide the core engineering competency and execution within the department.Customer interaction and technology development are at the heart of Customer Engineering, working within Project frameworks and relying on strong cross-functional skills. As part of the Commercial function of the Syensqo business, Customer Engineering is at the front-line of ensuring our customers’ and our business’ success.
This pathway offers progression, from entry-level/early-career engineers through to mature, key-contributor roles. Across all levels, high standards of professional integrity, technical expertise, customer focus and project Management will be developed and refined.
The responsibilities and expectations described in the following sections will naturally change through progression through the ‘levels’. Moving from heavily-supported learning and implementation phases at S16 level, through to becoming engineers that demonstrate role-model standards at S18 - expected levels of autonomy, ownership and accountability will increase with this progression. There will also be a commensurate shift from individual contribution towards further coaching & mentoring of the more junior members of the team – increasingly becoming part of the leadership of the group.

Interaction with customers, the supply-chain, academia & authorities, establishing positive and productive relationships at multiple levels.
Problem solving in the composite part build process is a must.
Ability to develop composite test plans to meet customer aircraft requirements.
Develop and drive deep technical understanding of Syensqo portfolio of materials and the technologies that support them at our customers and within the application-space/market.
Working with a structured approach to good project management practice, taking accountability for sub-elements through to entire projects.
Develop strong cross-functional relationships within the business to drive progress
Identify and progress relevant collaborative opportunities internally and externally
Demonstrate the technical excellence of Syensqo in front of our customers
You will be responsible for data collection, interpretation and technical report generation - either directly or through working with supporting junior staff.
You will take a collaborative approach to search and understand process and IP within the Industry.
Communicate the progress of your work and projects through meaningful discussions and presentations.
Formal technical reporting is also a given.
Demonstrate the ability to take on additional responsibility as required.
Spending time with customers, suppliers and in the wider market-place. This may involve travel within
EMEA and, occasionally, further afield.
You will bring:
This career pathway typically spans from those with only basic experience after academic qualification through to those that have spent 5-10yrs in a relevant composites industry position.
This is heavily dependent on the person, their behaviors and experiences.
Typically minimum Bachelor’s degree qualification in a relevant academic field.
Highest standards of safety and quality values & excellent standards of professionalism and ethics.
Ability to communicate effectively using various media at all levels
Ability to deliver results as both team member and team leader
Structured working to good project management practices
Understanding of technical data and drawings.
Have a strong analytical approach and structured ways of working e.g. documentation of work.
Appropriate working knowledge of basic financial/commercial terminology.
You will demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and foster innovation.
Ability to handle complex situations and change in demand autonomously, sometimes in pressured
situations with dynamic objectives and tight deadlines
Ability to influence at different levels within the organization to achieve positive outcomes
Enthusiasm for developing working relationships.

The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $90,880 to $113,600 per year Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
