As part of the construction of Syensqo IT Services, we want to embark on a new Digital Workplace program which aims to develop global modern products to be rolled-out within the entire group. The Devices Product line defines an innovative vision and strategy for the usage, coordination and implementation in all of Syensqo entities of Modern Workplace devices, (Windows, Mac, Mobile) including Virtual Desktop, while ensuring legacy transition.

In this Product Line, we are creating a modern managed product based on an up-to-date Windows 10 / 11. You would be contributing to the setting up a Feature Team whose mission is to build the product, be responsible of the Release Management as well as ensuring day to day operations.

Accountabilities and responsibilities:

  • Develops standard configuration and documentation,

  • Develops installation and configuration procedures,

  • Implements system configuration changes, as requested,

  • Develops maintenance procedures,

  • Builds a team of experts leveraging various outsourcing contracts

  • Trains user support specialist and service desk technicians in operation and issue resolution,

  • Provides installation and troubleshooting backup to user support specialists and service desk technicians,

  • Responds to failures and works with service providers to resolve discrepancies,

  • Acts as the interface to technology providers providing software, tools, and services.

Manages desktop/mobile/peripheral software environment including:

  • Software inventory,

  • Software license compliance,

  • Software suitability within server and network environments

Manages system access, security, and spam/anti-virus controls:

  • Configure and manage security controls,

  • Configure and manage security/software updates

  • Configure and manage spam/anti-virus software updates and other endpoint protection tools.

  • Monitors desktop/mobile/peripheral device performance and supports system engineers in expanding and tuning operating platforms to meet Syensqo business needs.

  • Performs maintenance, backup and recovery tasks for desktop/mobile/peripheral device.

Experience, skills and behaviours:

  • Indicate the required education in terms of minimum years of education, required type of degree, field of studies, etc. and the required knowledge and/or experience in terms of minimum years of experience in the respective field

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT related field or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in system configuration and administration.

  • Mobile Device Management application (MD-Intune, AirWatch etc.) experience

  • Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician.

  • Good grasp of network, mobile, desktop and server technologies in use.

  • Good knowledge of backup and disaster/recovery systems.

  • Good understanding of end user devices (laptop, desktop, mobile) management & security.

  • Experience in building and leading a team of experts is desirable

  • Demonstrated proficiency in management of hardware technologies including desktop, laptop, mobile devices, printers and audio-visual equipment.

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator desirable.
