Syensqo’s Phosphorus Specialties business has R&I Technical teams located at its Oldbury UK and Welland, Canada chemical manufacturing facilities.

We are looking for:

  • This temporary role (12 month contract - September 2024 to August 2025) is based at the Syensqo Oldbury, UK research and manufacturing facility. The role is based in a laboratory environment and involves the supervised manufacture and analysis of high-value specialty products on multi-kilo scale, regularly using high-hazard chemicals.

  • Support will be provided to meet requirements of the successful applicant's academic institution.

  • Requires running and interpretation of samples using NMR spectroscopy (training provided)

  • Ability to work in collaboration with colleagues across a range of disciplines (R&I, engineering, regulatory, and production)

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Able to work as directed but also make suggestions and improvements

  • The chosen candidate will be enthusiastic and possess good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
